Allianz Global Corporate & Speciality, a unit of Munich-based Allianz S.E., has announced a series of senior underwriting appointments.
Thierry Portevin will, effective Oct. 1, take up the role of global head of property in the chief underwriting office for corporate lines. He succeeds Rachel Conran who left AGCS in June.
Mr. Portevin currently is global head of engineering at AGCS.
Chris van Gend, currently regional manager for engineering for the Asia region, will succeed Mr. Portevin as global head of engineering and relocate to Munich, the insurer said in a statement.
Paul Carter, global head of risk consulting, will retire at the end of 2016 and be succeeded by Tina Baacke, currently global head of catastrophe risk management by Jan. 1, 2017.
Ms. Baacke’s successor has not been announced.
Allianz S.E. announced that Glen Drinnan has been appointed to the position of general manager corporate and New Zealand in the insurer's broker and agency division, reported Asia Insurance Review.
